Family Eye Care of Henderson

I absolutely love the people at this office! The staff and doctors are very professional, they explain everything to you, they answer all of your questions. They are extremely helpful, they know what they're doing. You never have to sit and wait and they're waiting room for more than a few minutes when it is your appointment time they get you back and taken care of! I recommend Family Eye Care to everyone! Don't waste your time going anyplace else!

I have always used the Owensboro location, so I was very pleased to find out they had one in Henderson. This group has always done a great job of ensuring your glasses fit well, and that the prescription is correct. They always have an excellent selection of frames, and they are very reasonably priced. They do a good job of getting you in, and getting you out. They will call you when your glasses are ready so you don’t have to worry about that. And I found that usually they come in ahead of schedule. All in all it’s a great place to get your eyes checked, and get those glasses updated.

Myself and my family have been going here for our eye care needs for some years. They are very good at their jobs and everyone is very nice/ friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.

They took great care of me during a recent vision emergency. I've been with them for three years and the optometrists they have brought in to replace Dr. Fife have been thorough and very professional.

First time here. I'll have to say I was met with very good service. The staff here listens well. They're light-hearted. They did a great job on the exam and I paid extra for the fancy machine that takes pictures of the back of your eye versus old time dilation and it's worth every penny! I left with purchasing a solid pair of frames, (nothing fancy) lenses with all the extras, (transitional) and counting the exam for under $400. Walmart cannot give you this kind of service. Please realize though I'm an older gentleman and if you remember the movie "My Cousin Vinny" I'm like that old gal that has gone through several levels of thickness over the years. If you have children and up to young adults I'm sure you can be taken care of for half the price I paid. I'm really impressed with the service. Great job guys!

We LOVE Dr. Hoelscher! She takes the time to talk to you, explain what she's doing, what she's looking for, etc. My 1st grader was very interested in the "gross" picture of his eye. She took the time to pull the screen closer to him and walked him through what he was seeing in a patient, kind, and age appropriate way. That extra three minutes changed his whole attitude about the eye doctor. He's told everyone he's seen since then all about the insides of their eyes. That kind of thoughtfulness and kindness won our business for life!

Everyone is great! I see Dr Traylor since he specializes in glaucoma, among other eye issues. He was very personable and explained a lot that I didn't know. Annie, who did the testing, explained each step. She was also great!

Another excellent experience with Dr. Steven Shake and his team. They take time to answer questions and never have I felt like I was rushed in and out. Great job!

I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Shake for many years. He always has the most down to earth interpretations of eye scans and exams so that makes it very easy to understand your eyesight situation. If he uses medical terms, as he did today, he always interprets the meaning. Plus, the eyeglass team at Owensboro Family Eye Care just can't be beat! I used another local eyeglass provider once, but was unhappy with the glasses they provided for ALMOST 2 YEARS. SO, today I came back to OFEC and I'M REALLY GLAD I DID! Dr. Shake found my eyeware needed ungrading, plus he discussed with me some things to add to my vitamin regimen for macular health. NOW, I can't WAIT to get my new glasses! ... Friends, I can't say enough great things about the Professional Quality and Overall Kindness of the OFEC Staff/Team. I highly recommend these caring folks for any and ALL of your families eyecare needs. You WILL be as happy as I am!

Dr. Horton is always very professional and listens when I have questions or concerns. The staff that assisted were very pleasant and cheerful especially Jimmy, who helped me when picking out new frames.

The staff and Dr. Meyer were great from start to finish. Very patient with my 3 year old son. Took time to help me pick out 2 frames and get my glasses ordered. We will definitely go back to this clinic again!

I went to see Dr. Karlie today for a second opinion. She listened to what I had to say and we found the issue. Before my appointment I received confirmation of the appointment and was asked to fill out their forms. The staff was very friendly and helpful, Dr. Karlie Hoelsher has a new patient. I picked up my new glasses today. OMG I can actually see, thank you again Dr. Karlie

Wonderful experience. I checked in and being my first visit I had some paperwork to fill out. Before I could even fill that out completely I was being taken back and things were getting started. Everyone was friendly and helpful and explained what was going on and what the options were. I would highly recommend this to any friends and will definitely give my business to them again!

We had a great first visit. My kids even said everyone was so nice. They loved all of the different types of frames to choose from. This will be our new go to eye Dr. We highly recommend them. Update: We had a second visit a year later...still amazing service from everyone. I truly feel they care about my sons eye sight and take the time to find the best care for him. Update..Years and Years later....My kids still love going here. The staff is always amazing, and the Dr. takes his time to make my kids feel comfortable and understand everything. Highly Recommend.

My first visit at this office was very informative. Karlie was very helpful & answered any questions that I had. It was easy to schedule my appointment online. They even allow you to pay half at your appointment visit then the other half when you pick up your glasses if you need a flexible option.

What a great experience! Doctor Meyer and his staff were friendly and went beyond what any other office would do. They squeezed me in but I still got all the time needed to find my problem. They were the best. I am glad I found them for my family!
